About

Since you are viewing this page, I assume you are interested in knowing who I am. My (rather out of date!) resume (pdf)(txt) covers most of my academic and work-related accomplishments, but if you are interested in knowing about me beyond what is listed there, read on.
What I do:

I am a Computer Scientist who works for Research In Motion as a SIP Services Developer. Some of the other things that I have dabbled with in past include Voice Over IP related protocols (SIP, SDP etc.), 802.11 based Ad hoc Networks, Session Initiation Protocol, SNMP and TCP behavior over wireless networks.

I hold a M.Sc degree in Computer Science from University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India. I was an Alberta Ingenuity scholar and iCORE scholar for the duration of my Masters at University of Calgary and a University Gold Medalist for my undergraduate degree at Birla Institute of Technology.

Where I Live:

I am currently living in Kitchener, Canada. I have moved here pretty recently so I am still exploring the city and the neighboring areas. Prior to moving to Kitchener, I was living in Calgary, Canada. Its a beautiful city in western Canada. Calgary is right next to beautiful rockies, which meant I had an easy access to nature and its beauty whenever I wanted.

What I do for fun:

Although my busy life doesn’t give me much free time, I enjoy hiking when I get a chance. Being near to rockies in Calgary, I used to get my fair share of chances in summers to be outdoors and enjoy the nature. I am also an avid reader. While earlier, I used to get time to read novels and books, now its mostly restricted to dry work related drafts and rfcs.
