Ubuntu Starter Guide
27 01 2006I run Ubuntu Linux at work and on one of my laptops. While many die-hard Linux fans would argue that Ubuntu Linux is mainly meant for newbies and hardcore linux people (like myself) should use something more elegant as Debian, I would counter them by saying something that everyday user would — Ubuntu just works!! I am already hardpressed for time when it comes to configure and fix things at work, why on earth would I want to spend (note: I did not use the term waste here) my time configuring my desktop or laptop (which is merely a tool to get my job done), if I have a perfectly good (and comparitively stable) alternative available!
Here is the link for tweaks for Ubuntu on Dell X1, so that I don’t have to run around looking for it when something bad (really bad!) happens to my work laptop.
